AN unidentified Zimbabwean man reportedly hanged himself in rented accommodation in Ditladi village, Botswana after complaining about being broke and hungry.The man is said to be in his 30s, and was in the neighbouring country illegally. He allegedly complained of life problems before committing suicide.Tonota Police Station Commander, Oteng Ngada confirmed the incident, telling Botswana media that the Zimbabwean man reportedly confided in his friends that he was contemplating suicide as his existence was becoming unbearable.“He complained of being broke without anything to eat, and that he did not see any reason to live. He then went inside his room at around 12 noon and his landlord noticed that his room was dark around 8:50pm.” “After knocking several times without getting an answer, the landlord entered only to find him hangingfrom house rafters.” Ngada said.Ngada said the deceased’s family in Tsholotsho, Zimbabwe, had been notified“His body is still at Nyangabgwe mortuary, with the post-mortem set for Thursday,” Botswana police said.
