BULAWAYO City Council (BCC) has signed a lease agreement with Winston Technical Consultancy Services Private Business owned by speech impaired, Winston Mawere for the construction of a vocational training centre for people with disabilities.
According to the five-year lease agreement, the proposed training centre will be located in Bulawayo’s Pumula South suburb.
The agreement states that the lessee shall pay the council US$65 or an equivalent local currency in monthly rentals at the prevailing foreign exchange rates in advance for the said piece of land.
"Such rental shall be payable on the due date which shall be the 7th of each month and the same being subject to a periodic review at the pleasure of council,” the agreement reads.
“Should the lessee fail to pay rentals on due date the council shall have the right to terminate the agreement and retake possession of the stand.”
The agreement was signed on June 23.
