GOSPEL music fans will be in for a treat as Call to Worship Global celebrates its 15 years of worship with a grand music festival set for the Harare Gardens on Saturday.
Call to Worship Global, which was founded in 2009 as Call to Worship Zimbabwe, aims to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ through praise and worship while fostering unity and love among believers in Christ.
The festival to be held from 9am to 8:30pm under the theme From Glory-to-Glory Worship (2 Corinthians 3 vs 18) will feature both local and international gospel artistes.
Over the years, the Call to Worship Global festival has been bringing together Christians from different denominations and backgrounds.
The co-founder of Call to Worship Global and one of the main organisers of the festival, Apostle Philip Pike told NewsDay Life & Style that the first 15 years have been a period of establishment, laying the foundation for what the next 15 years required.
“The festival is a timely programme for the nation of Zimbabwe, which has been facing various challenges in recent years. We believe that God has a plan and a purpose for Zimbabwe. We believe that as we worship Him together, He will heal our land and restore our hope,” he said.

“We want to see Zimbabwe transformed by the power of God through worship. Our vision is to empower worshippers and musicians, enabling them to spread the message of unity and love across the nation and beyond and raising an altar of worship in Zimbabwe, Africa and beyond.”
The festival organisers are targeting over 5 000 participants at this year’s event.
“This event will be a celebration of our journey from glory to glory and we have an exciting programme planned with Youth Power Praise, music and business workshops and a worship night,” he said.
The festival will start with a youth event, during which different young artistes running under the theme Unashamed will perform from 11:30am, with the main event starting at 5:30pm to 8:30pm.
“We invite everyone who loves God and loves worship to come and join us in celebrating this milestone and experiencing the power of worship and fellowship. The festival is free of charge and open to all,” he told NewsDay Life & Style.
Several guest artistes including minister Michael Mahendere, Curt Hardy from South Africa, minister Temwani Mupeta, pastor Teddy Matanyani, pastor Felix and Michelle Chimba.
The Call to Worship Choir is also in the mix and comprises over 60 churches from different denominations and regions in Zimbabwe and hasbeen rehearsing for months to prepare for the festival.
"The choir is a testimony of how God can bring people together despite their differences,” he said.
