Zanu PF targets youths through sports galas

In Mutare North Constituency, Zanu PF central committee member transporter and miner Admire Mahachi sponsored a sports gala that saw over 50 teams participating.

BY STAFF REPORTER In Mutare North Constituency a former Zanu Pf National Youth League Executive member, Transporter and Miner Admire Mahachi sponsered football, snooker and netball tournaments that saw over 50 teams participating.

Youths who spoke to NewsDay on the sidelines of the tournament Tendai Masuku said they were happy about the event.

“We are happy because comrade Mahachi is giving back to the community by sponsoring sports tournaments and other programmes which aim at bettering the livelihoods of the youths and helps them shun drugs. He further stated that it will help in mobilizing the youths to vote for our 2023 elections Presidential candidate comrade Emmerson Mnangagwa and our party Zanu Pf towards achieving the 5 million plus votes,” Masuku said

“We were excited during the tournament as we were sponsored with with food,” her added.

Mahachi  could not be reached for comment as his phone went unreachable,.

It is part of Mahachi’s social responsibility to empower youths.

Mahachi is a renowned gold miner in the country and is also a transporter.

The tournament was attended by several government and Zanu PF officials.
