Established, anointed and sealed

This will guarantee victorious Christian living throughout the year.

THERE are spiritual truths or eternal realities that we need to keep at the fore, especially at the beginning of the year.

This will guarantee victorious Christian living throughout the year.

We need to reassure ourselves so that we don’t go out this year shaking.

At the beginning of the year, we table plans or resolutions.

Naturally, there is a possibility that some of the things may not come to pass according to our expectations and timelines.

That doesn’t mean God has failed us.

As believers, we always look at things from eternal perspective.

We also view things from the sum total of divine scheme.

With all our zeal and aspirations, we execute the mandate for our generation and lay the foundation and building blocks for generations coming.

We don’t sulk and live in despondency.

Let me refresh your memory.

The tone of the Bible to believers is always assuring us of our eternal salvation.

Whenever God corrects us, He makes sure He reminds us our sure and secure standing with Him.

Oftentimes the book of Revelation is used to threaten us that we will miss heaven.

That’s a lie from the pit of hell.

Before the letters to the churches, God made sure He had communicated the believers unshakable salvation.

We read Revelation 1:5-6, “[5] And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, [6] And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.”

Jesus loved and loves us and He washed our sins in His own blood.

That cannot be reversed. It was eternal not temporary.

Furthermore, it’s not dependent on our behaviour or good works. How do we know?

Ephesians 2:8-9 assure us, “[8] For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Are we saying we’re going to behave badly? No, the Holy Spirit in us constrains us.

Our faith walk is a knowledge and confidence walk.

Let me encourage you today in the words of Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 1:21-22, “[21] Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; [22] Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.”

God established us and establishes us for this year and years coming.

We’re not on shaky ground.

While we do the bidding of this world, we do that with a mindset that we have a commission from heaven above.

We have physical bodies for legality of this realm but we were recruited and sent out by heaven.

Being established connotes true, certain and permanent.

We are not fake beings trying our luck this year.

Our papers are genuine and valid to go out this year and beyond.

We have dominion mandate that we’re going to execute courageously for we fear not.

Our establishment is in Christ and nothing shall be able to separate us from His love.

We’re anointed as believers and whatever we do has the touch of the Holy Spirit.

Our bar is so high that we don’t intend to execute our assignment below excellence. It should be every believer’s standard and responsibility to add value to this world.

Where our hand has been should draw admiration from the world.

We’re sealed with the down payment or security deposit of the Holy Spirit.

This guarantees that we’re going to excel and not going to fade away.

We’re not going to flatter to deceive; we’re here for the long haul.

While our primary calling is to win souls to Christ, we don’t separate that from other facets of our lives.

I pray that this reflects in us for lifestyle evangelism.

Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever.

Amen. Grace and peace be multiplied to you through knowledge.
