What He was yesterday is what He is today and will be tomorrow.
The message of Christ is therefore consistent.
This column has also taught that theology is understood through the lenses of Christology.
The perspective of the Bible is Christology and we see God in Christ or we perceive God through Christology lenses.
The Bible is not interpreted by a preacher’s experience or denominational persuasion.
Furthermore, the revelation of the God of the Bible is Jesus Christ.
We can say that Jesus is the explanation of God.

The meeting point between God and humanity is the Man Christ Jesus.
Let’s push a bit further. Jesus Christ is understood in His finished/accomplished work.
The Gospel of Christ is, therefore, His finished/accomplished work. Through this we have consistent theology.
What we preach today should not change even if circumstances change. Let us look at some foundational Scriptures. 2 Peter 1:3 records, “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:”
The Gospel of Christ is not a mind game. God does not arm twist us.
If we were given all things that pertain to life and godliness at salvation, there should never be any suggestion in our walk with Christ present or future that there are things lacking.
The verse clearly states that it is knowledge that’s required. Furthermore we’re called to glory and virtue.
We’re not called to failure, doom nor damnation. Romans 10:11, Amplified Classic, points out, “The Scripture says, No man who believes in Him [who adheres to, relies on, and trusts in Him] will [ever] be put to shame or be disappointed.”
If at the point of salvation we were forgiven, we are forgiven now and we’re forgiven forever.
At no time should we be threatened that God is bringing back past sins.
He promised in Psalm 103:12, “As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.”
We therefore don’t walk in condemnation and sin consciousness.
He reiterated in Hebrews 8:12, “For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.”
This was fulfilled in Christ Jesus.
It is clear we were justified and we are still justified and shall be justified.
As stated previously, anything beyond the finished/accomplished work of Christ is another gospel.
If we were accepted at the point of salvation, we are accepted now.
The tenses should never change.
We preach the same Jesus and the same Spirit without wavering.
Apostle Paul teaches in 2 Corinthians 11:4, “For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.”
Sometimes the longer we stay in ministry the more we assume we need more power to deal with evil.
The same power that raised Christ from the dead is the power that brought us to salvation and still deals with current afflictions.
If we keep the mindset of children we will cast out a demon in the name of Jesus as much as we cast out a legion of demons.
If we preach or present a consistent Jesus, believers faith will be solidified.
Communion and fellowship with God the Father in Christ will be enjoyable.
God wants His children to know that He is sincere, faithful, trustworthy and dependable.
If God is always merciful, we have confidence.
Malachi 3:6 tells us, “For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.”
James 1:17, Amplified, weighs in, “Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of lights [the Creator and Sustainer of the heavens], in whom there is no variation [no rising or setting] or shadow cast by His turning [for He is perfect and never changes].”
Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. Grace and peace be multiplied to you through knowledge.
