Sports and Recreation Commission (SRC) have suspended the Director-General Elta Nengomasha with immediate effect pending a hearing.

According to the SRC , Sebastian Garikai will assume the Director-General duties on an acting capacity, a role he has performed in the past before Nengomasha's appointment.
Nengomasha was appointed Director - General for SRC in March 2023.
