TOP South African multiple-award winning artiste, Nkosinathi Maphumulo, popularly known as Black Coffee, put up an exhilarating performance in front of jam-packed audience at Hartsfield Sports Ground, Bulawayo, on Monday night.

Black Coffee, who was also celebrating 10 years of a successful career in music, came on stage to loud cheers and screams from the predominantly female fans, just after the curtain-raising by DJ Flava.
The “king of soulistic” music gave his fans value for money at the show, which also brought down the curtains on Ibumba festival.
His two-hour performance saw the artiste drawing tunes from his five albums, showcasing his prowess on the decks, changing the tempo of the night by fusing contemporary tunes into his playlist.
A graduate of jazz studies from Technikon Natal, Black Coffee promised his revellers that he would return for another performance in the city in the near future. His act was from the top drawer, so much that it lifted the fans spirits and injected a new vibe into Bulawayo’s night life.
Black Coffee began his career back in 1994 and has released five albums and one live DVD under his Johannesburg-based record label, Soulistic Music. He is arguably one of the most influential musicians in Africa today.
