BULAWAYO acapella group, Impumelelo Shining Stars, shone like stars on Saturday night when they performed at the Bulawayo Music Festival, which was hosted at the Zimbabwe Academy of music in Bulawayo.

The five-day festival, meant to celebrate western classical music, saw the gospel group showing their prowess on stage, as they showcased imbube music much to the delight of their fans.
The group charmed the audience with their imbube rhythms fused with African dances.
Impumelelo Shining Stars, formed in 2001, has travelled extensively in Africa and graced festivals such as Harare International Festival of Arts, Intwasa KoBulawayo, Ibumba International Festival in Bulawayo and Pretoria Show in South Africa.
They have shared the stage with Jeys Marabini, Shabalala Rhythms, Dereck Ndzimande, Black Umfolosi and Zinja Ziyaluma.
The festival was headlined by US-based violinist, Nokuthula Ngwenyama, as well as other artistes such as German cello player, Theo Bross, United Kingdom-based pianists, Coady Green, Leslie Howard and Christopher Smith and the Odein String Quartet from South Africa.
