This is a second international production by the 36-year old singer after the release of China-Africa last year featuring Chinese musicians Han Liuqing and Li Hua as a way of cementing the China-Zimbabwe ties.
The award-winning artiste told NewsDay that it has been a great experience working with six nationalities on the production, a fusion of jazz, pop, rhumba and instrumentals that depict Mandarin culture.
Lovely Zimbabwe fuses different languages including English, French, Spanish, Mandarin and Shona.
“Since September is regarded as tourism month, we felt the song will be a great present to all visitors coming from all over the world to visit our country which is a safe tourist destination,” he said.
“We saw it fit to join hands and form the Lovely Zimbabwe band which comprises of different nationalities so that we convey one message to market Zimbabwe as well as promote cultural understanding among nations in different languages spoken across the globe.”
Matuka said he was optimistic that the song will be well-received in all the respective countries, adding that they are now working on the video of the song that is expected to be out end of this month.
