In a statement, the Commissioner, Barthélemy Kouame, a congratulated President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, for his victory at the Babacar Ndiaye Trophy in 2020.

The Commission thanked the AfDB and the President, Akinwumi Adesina, for his availability and sponsorship of the initiative since 2016.

Gratitude was extended to Carlos Lopes, President of Conference Board, for his permanent support and orientations.

The theme for 2021 is: “Roads and transport for health: actions and achievements to meet the challenges in Africa”. It was motivated by the health crisis the world has been going through for more than a year.
