The Zimbabwe Chamber of SMEs (ZCSMEs) has launched a weekly networking breakfast initiative aimed at propelling high-growth Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) into the limelight.

The program held every Wednesday at a local coffee shop is a direct response to the National SMEs Policy (2020-2024) which underscores the critical role of collaboration and business linkages in fostering a thriving SME sector.

The breakfast gatherings bring together promising MSMEs with senior government officials and ZCSMEs leadership, creating a platform for knowledge sharing, networking and potential partnerships.

Speaking at the networking event Zimbabwe Manpower Exchange's Simbiso Mupfumira Managing Director said there is a need to shift mindset.

“We possess all the necessary resources to develop our country; what is missing is a shift in mindset. By bringing together experts and these budding entrepreneurs, we aim to open their eyes to the vast opportunities presented by the Second Republic,” she said.

Alinial Chartered Accountants official Last Matema highlighted that SMEs should be capacitated with strategic guidance for them to develop.

The recent breakfast event was graced by notable figures including Lucky Moyo National Organizing Secretary of ZCSMEs and Ministry of Women Affairs Deputy Director Mamvura Mabika.

As the initiative gains momentum, it is anticipated to become a cornerstone in nurturing Zimbabwe’s SME landscape and driving economic growth.
