HARARE, Jan 27 (NewsDayLive) - TENSION within the ruling Zanu PF appears to be reaching boiling point with two rival factions openly denigrating each other through song and dance at the burial of Justin Mupamhanga at the National Heroes Acre on Monday.
A group of Zanu PF members loyal to Acting President Constantino Chiwenga, who over the past months has been under attack from a faction aligned to President Emmerson Mnangagwa, sang praise songs for the former army general who presided over the burial proceedings.

In his address, Chiwenga spoke strongly against corruption and chastised corrupt elements within the ruling party.
He accused corrupt “mbingas” of “growing big bellies” from proceeds of ill-gotten wealth.
"We all swore to a shared future in which everyone had a place on the table, a place in the sun for a culture of equal opportunity where every Zimbabwean served in equal measure. Zvehubvanzu bvanzu kudya kwe mhumhi takazviramba.
Our vision 2030 is for all of us kwete dzamunoti mbinga kuhondo taidziti zvigananda, those who grow big tummies through ill-gotten wealth and questionable morals…," he said as his supporters chanted 'Chivayo Chivayo', in apparent reference to controversial businessman Wicknell Chivayo known for flaunting his wealth in public.
