Receiving the gifts, Alcoz executive director, Loveness Mainato, said the donation would go a long way in easing the lives of people with albinism given the various challenges they face.

PEOPLE with  albinism in Chitungwiza  yesterday  had an early Christmas after receiving groceries from Premier Corporate Gifts which extended the gesture as part of its  corporate social responsibility.

The groceries and personal care goods were handed over  to the Albino Charity Organisation of Zimbabwe (Alcoz), an organisation that takes care and advocates  for people with albinism.

Receiving the gifts, Alcoz executive director, Loveness Mainato, said the donation would go a long way in easing the lives of people with albinism given the various challenges they face.

She said the donation would significantly impact the lives of those living with albinism, many of whom face daily challenges due to stigma and limited resources.

“This gesture is more than just material support, it is a sign of care and recognition of the struggles faced by the albinism community," Mainato said.

"The groceries and personal items will go a long way in making this festive season brighter for many families. We are deeply grateful to Premier Corporate Gifts for thinking of us."

Premier Corporate Gifts’ managing director,  Betty Mpala, highlighted the company’s commitment to giving back to the community, particularly  marginalised groups.

“As a company, we believe in spreading love and hope, especially during the festive season," she said

"We recognised the unique challenges faced by the albinism community and wanted to provide practical support to make their Christmas special. We are honoured to partner Alcoz in this endeavour."

Mainato called on other organisations and individuals to follow Premier Corporate Gifts' example and support initiatives that uplift vulnerable communities.

“This donation is a testament to the power of partnership and the positive change that comes when organisations prioritise social responsibility. Together, we can build a more inclusive and supportive society,” she said.
