MUTASA Central lawmaker Innocent Benza (Zanu PF) early this week gifted President Emmerson Mnangagwa a Boran bull breed for launching a national youth programme in his district.
Mnangagwa recently officiated at the Manicaland Youth Forum and the belated Africa Youth Day programme at Magamba Vocational Training Centre.
Mutasa district committee co-ordinator chairperson Washington Ziwiwi confirmed the donation by Benza, the most senior provincial member.
“One of our MPs in our district, who is the secretary for legal affairs, Honourable Innocent Benza has delivered a Boran bull breed to His Excellency President Emmerson Mnangagwa for officiating at an important youth programme in his district,” Ziwiwi said.
“The MP is thanking President Mnangagwa for being the guest of honour at the historic event, where over 20 000 youths attended.”
Boran bulls are known for their docile nature, heat tolerance and resistance to disease.
They have a large hump above shoulders, short head and small ears.
Today, the Boran is now found in Kenya, Zambia, Tanzania, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Australia and the United States.
