Local News
Faith Mukaro was remanded in custody to today for bail application.

A 28-YEAR-OLD Harare woman appeared before magistrate Patricia Kamwanda on Tuesday after she allegedly misrepresented as a Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (Zimra) agent and duped a fellow resident of US$3 000 in a botched motor vehicle acquisition deal.

Faith Mukaro was remanded in custody to today for bail application.

The complainant is Eddtress Chadehumbe (29).

The State alleges that on September 24 this year, Mukaro misrepresented to Chadehumbe that she was a Zimra employee and was disposing of her vehicle, a Toyota Probox which was stationed at Chirundu Border Post.

Mukaro allegedly expressed interest in buying the vehicle and paid US$3 000, on the understanding that she would pay the US$470 balance upon delivery of the car.

After receiving the money, Mukaro allegedly became evasive prompting Chadehumbe to file a police report.
