FORMER opposition MDC senator Lilian Timveos has died.
Timveos passed away Monday morning at the Avenues Clinic in Harare.
She had defected to Zanu PF together with former Kwekwe Central MP Blessing Chebundo who is now a director at the ruling party’s headquarters in Harare.
After dumping opposition politics in 2021, Timveous was immediately appointed to the Petrotrade board but was later suspended on allegations of corruption.
In May 2023, Timveos was appointed a member of the Citizens Against Economic Sanctions (CAES) to campaign against the imposition of sanctions against the ruling party’s top leadership.
