Justice Bachi-Mzawazi ruled that the magistrate who handled the matter had misdirected herself as there were no compelling reasons to deny him bail.

ZANU PF resources mobilizer Dexter Nduna has been granted US$100 bail by a Chinhoyi High Court judge following his arrest early this month on charges of illegally collecting parking fees from motorists in Chegutu.

The former Chegutu West MP approached the High Court on appeal through his lawyer Unite Saizi of Saizi Law Chambers after being denied bail twice by a Chegutu magistrate.

Justice Bachi-Mzawazi ruled that the magistrate who handled the matter had misdirected herself as there were no compelling reasons to deny him bail.

The State alleges that Nduna misrepresented to Chegutu motorists that a company linked to him, Team Chapter, was now in charge of collecting vehicle parking fees.
