Harare man in court for raping sex worker

It is alleged that they drove to the Kopje area, pulled off the road and demanded sex from the complainant.

 A 30-YEAR -OLD man from Harare’s Kambuzuma high-density suburb has been brought to court on allegations of raping a sex worker aged 29. 

The accused, Tinotenda Siringwani was remanded out of custody on free bail to October 3 when he appeared before magistrate Marehwanazvo Gofa. It is the State's case that on September 4 this year,  Siringwani hired the victim at City Sports Bar for sexual services at an agreed charge. Prosecutor Mercy Masamvi told the court that after the two finished drinking beer,  they were offered transport by Siringwani's accomplices. 

 It is alleged that they drove to the Kopje area, pulled off the road and demanded sex from the complainant.

Thereafter , Siringwani and his accomplices took turns to sexually assault the complainant threatening to kill her if she screams. After the act, they drove to a nearby fuel station and dropped her.
