Harare man in court over broncleer syrup

Gerald Zinyemba (28) pleaded guilty to the charges stating that he was advised by a medical doctor to take half of broncleer cough syrup .

 A HARARE man has appeared before magistrate Dennis Mangosi charged with two counts of unlawful possession of dangerous drugs and unlawful possession of unspecified medicines.  

Gerald Zinyemba (28) pleaded guilty to the charges stating that he was advised by a medical doctor to take half of broncleer cough syrup .

 He will return to court Wednesday for plea recording. Prosecutor Thomas Chanakira alleged that on June 21, 2024, detectives from Central Investigations Departed (CID) Drugs and Narcotics in Harare received a tip off that Zinyemba was in possession of unspecified medicines .

Acting on the tip off, the detectives approached Zinyemba and recovered 5 x 100mls of broncleer cough syrup.

 The seized cough syrup is is not registered by the regulating authority.
