POLICE in Bulawayo have launched an investigation into the death of a 27-year-old man who was found hanging in a toilet at Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo International Airport on Thursday.
The deceased, Cecil Elisha, had checked in to board a South Africa-bound airline before allegedly committing suicide at the airport.
His body was discovered by an aviation security officer who had gone into the toilets looking for him as he was delaying the flight.
Bulawayo provincial police spokesperson Inspector Abedinico Ncube confirmed the incident.
“The body of the deceased was discovered by a security officer after he had gone quiet in the toilet, resulting in the plane delaying to leave for Johannesburg,” Ncube said.
