JEHOVAH'S Witnesses’ three-day conventions running under the theme Declare the Good News, kick off across the country today.
The conventions will be held at various venues across Zimbabwe, with the expectation of drawing over 84 000 people throughout the weekend programme.
In an interview with NewsDay, Jehovah's Witnesses national spokesperson Kudakwashe Chikuvadze said: “We are excited to host our conventions once again in various venues across Zimbabwe. These conventions are a highlight of the year for thousands of people who need to experience some positivity in their lives, and we are happy to enjoy the programme once again."
A highlight of the Saturday programme will be the baptising of new members from surrounding communities. Jehovah's Witnesses congregations throughout Zimbabwe will be actively inviting community members to attend this free event. The conventions attracted over 13 million people worldwide, last year.
