Employees of Zimbabwe’s largest beverage maker, Delta Corporation handed over grocery and clothing items, worth over USD1,000 to the SOS Children’s Home in Bindura as part of their Christmas employee charity activity. "The donation will assist take care of our community members who are children who have lost parental care. Each year, hundreds of children and teens are removed from their homes due to abuse, neglect, or abandonment," said Patricia Murambinda, General Manager, Corporate Affairs at Delta .SOS Children’s Village is a home for children aged below 18 in Zimbabwe. It is a member of SOS’ Villages International, the largest private welfare organisation for children in the world. Their model is based on the family approach to the long- term care of orphaned and abandoned children."This is a fulfilment of our burning desire to support the communities we operate in," added Murambinda.
