A MZILIKAZI High School pupil is facing an attempted murder charge after stabbing a colleague with a pair of scissors.

Bulawayo provincial police spokesperson Inspector Abednico Ncube confirmed the incident.

“A Form Two student (15) hit another Form Two student (16) with a brick on the head before stabbing him with a pair of scissors on the chest after an argument. The suspect had accused the victim of taking a broom without permission,” Ncube said.

“Investigations on the case are still ongoing. We urgeparents and guardians to monitor their children of what they carry to school to avoid such incidents."

Earlier this year, a fight between Founders High School and Hamilton pupils in Bulawayo ended in tragedy after one of the pupils succumbed to injuries sustained during the fight.
