TWO women were last week attacked by a crocodile while trying to cross Kana River in Lupane.
The victims Tholiwe Moyo (53) and Susan Nkonjera (72) are reportedly traumatised and are in need of money for treatment of injuries they sustained.
Moyo and Nkonjera were attacked while crossing Kana River in Lusulu Village, Lupane.
Both were taken to Mpilo Hospital where Nkonjera was treated and immediately discharged, but Moyo is still hospitalised.
Her leg will have to be amputated as she sustained severe injuries. The cost of amputation is US$750.
Doctors say if the amputation is delayed, it could be very dangerous for her health.
Her children are now appealing for assistance to get treatment for their mother.
They say they were traumatised by the incident.

Ashton Marowa narrated her mother’s ordeal to Southern Eye.
“I was in town when my aunt called me saying my mother had been attacked by a crocodile. It was scary for us but we thank God she survived the attack,” Marowa said.

Efforts to get comment from ZimParks spokesperson Tinashe Farawo were fruitless.
