Labour Economist and African Democrats (LEAD) National Chairperson Caroline Mutasa has left the party ‘to pursue other interests.’
Mutasa joined Lead in 2019.
She told NewsDay she was leaving the party due to personal reasons that she was not at liberty to disclose.
" I Joined LEAD in 2019 as national chairperson and due to some personal reasons it's time to call it quits. I made sure that all of our provinces have structures as the national chairperson and I was the backbone of the party besides our different ideologies from our political parties. Let's be united for a successful nation," Mutasa said.
She also reiterated that she was at peace with the party's leader Linda Masarisa.
