MUTARE, Mar. 20 (NewsDayLive) - Gospel diva Dorcas Moyo has been selected to lead the St James Zongoro Primary School's centenary celebrations on Saturday.
Top government officials, the clergy and former students will be part of the dignitaries as the Anglican Diocese of Manicaland-run institution celebrates 100 years "of imparting quality education and moulding a productive citizenry".
Diocese secretary Edmund Father Samutereko told NewsDayLive that preparations for the event were at an advanced stage.
"One of our Diocese schools St James Zongoro has reached a milestone as it will be celebrating reaching 100 years of providing good education to the Mutasa district, Manicaland and countrywide," Samutwreko said.
"Saturday is an important day for the school and the diocese ,we are very happy that the school has maintained its standards and is improving with each passing year.”
The diocese runs 54 schools including both primary and secondary schools.
