THE chickens are coming home to roost on Season 2 of Sibongile and The Dlaminis with the addition of new characters who are likely to shake things up on the production.

The forthcoming new season of Sibongile and The Dlaminis will start airing from July 29 on Mzansi Wethu DStv Channel 163, Monday to Wednesday at 18:30pm.

Zamantungwa “Zama” Khumalo (played by Azande Mkhungo) has joined the cast as Sibongile’s roommate at varsity. Zama an IT girl and cheese-girl of the hood, despite facing economic challenges, has always exhibited a flair for being dramatic and a love to express herself through fashion and performance.

With Njengaye and Nomfundo having been able to hide their scandalous affair and their love child, things start to heat up as their secret is about to come to light. This season, their son Themba (played by Ntando Zondi) is looking to be a full and legitimate member of the Dlamini clan.

During his upbringing, Themba always had a strong bond with his mother and an even stronger desire to get to spend more time with his father.

Themba, who is still in high school, is well-known for his impressive portrayal of the young Prince Shaka on Mzansi Magic’s Shaka Ilembe and Azande is an AFDA graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Live Performances with a number of theatre performances under her belt.

Themba will make his debut on the Sibongile and The Dlaminis on Episode 3 that will air on July 31.

These new characters promise to bring fresh perspectives and challenges to the narrative of Sibongile and The Dlaminis.
