TELONE FC coach Herbert Maruwa has warned giants Caps United to brace for a tough encounter when the two teams clash in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match at Ascot Stadium in Gweru this afternoon.
The two teams will be both desperate for maximum points as they seek to keep up with the leading pack.
Caps United have a spring in their step after defeating Triangle in week three before the international break, while TelOne managed a draw against Dynamos.
But this one is undoubtedly a litmus test for both coaches, who are some of the best football brains in the topflight.
Maruwa is bullish ahead of this clash, hoping to keep their good home record.
However, they are likely to miss their number one goalie Criss Mverechena, who has missed a number of training sessions as he nurses an injury.
Nevertheless, the former Dynamos and Black Rhinos mentor says his men will do everything to tame Caps United.
“Caps United is a big club. We are also a big club and it’s not going to be an easy match for both of us, but we are ready,” Maruwa said.

“We have to make sure that we give our all so that we can get maximum points at home. They will obviously want to win, but we are going to stand our ground and get the points.
“"Right now, I am pleased with how the boys have been responding to everything despite that we were on a break.”
He added: “We are coming from a draw away from home against Dynamos and we hope to get a different and better result on Saturday. It’s going to be a tough match, we must all brace for tough challenge.”
Both teams conducted good transfer business off season and are still trying out combinations after taking on new players.
