Zemura on AS Roma radar

Romapress yesterday stated that Zemura is on the radar of Roma as an option for Angelino.

WARRIORS defender Jordan Zemura has attracted the attention Italian Serie A giants AS Roma after impressive performances for his club Udinese in the same league.

Romapress yesterday stated that Zemura is on the radar of Roma as an option for Angelino.

“Roma are thinking of a back-up option to rotate with Angelino. Since his permanent move to the capital in the summer, Angelino has had to feature in every game this season for lack of valid alternatives on the bench,” the report said.

Quoting another source, Romapress.net said: “As a result, Leggo writes that Roma have now set out to find an additional left-back in the January window.

“The newspaper cites Udinese’s Jordan Zemura as a candidate for the job. The Giallorossi have reportedly started monitoring the 25-year-old who has so far collected one goal and two assists in 16 matches for the Bianconeri.”

Roma is under the mentorship of Claudio Ranieri and another source claim that the Italian giants are evaluating other options.

Including Christiano Biraghi who plays for Fiorentina.

Zemura has reportedly impressed Roma’s technical director Florent Ghisolfi.

Transfermarkt.com values the Warriors left-back at five million euros (US$5,1 million).

Last November, the Warriors left-back was said to be targeted by another Italian giant, AC Milan, evidence that Zemura’s stock is on the rise, a good indicator for the senior men’s national team coach Michael Nees ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations finals in Morocco.

Zemura was born in England to Zimbabwean parents and is a product of Queens Park Rangers Academy and in his youth days also played for Charlton Athletic.

At one time, he was assessed by EPL giants Chelsea and joined Bournemouth in 2019.

He joined Udinese in 2023 after four years of loyal service to Bournemouth.
