More than just a visual spectacle, Season 1 became a cultural phenomenon, sparking conversations, evoking deep emotions, and leaving an indelible mark on the storytelling landscape.
Within Zimbabwe,creatives in Matebeleland suggested that King Mzilikazi, who was the founder of the Ndebele state also deserved a similar telenovela in his memory.
Poet Albert Nyathi also hinted that work will “soon begin”, after feeling the pressure of Ilembe.

“Lemogang Tsipa once again embodies the formidable Shaka, while Thembinkosi Mthembu, SAFTA Best Actor winner for his role in Season 1, delivers another gripping performance as Dingiswayo.

Also returning are Wiseman Mncube as the ruthless Zwide, Dawn Thandeka King as the formidable Mkabayi and narrator.
