BULAWAYO, Jan 23 (NewsDayLive) - Police in Bulawayo have opened investigations into a suspected suicide case following discovery of a decomposing human body hanging from the roof trusses in  Kingsdale suburb.

Bulawayo acting police spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Nomalanga Msebele identified the now deceased as Daniel Quinton Lunga, a male adult aged 27.

"On January 17 at around 1100am, Lunga left home going to the central business district. He used to go out and at times not come back home, (so) no one bothered to look for him.

“On 20 January around 1200 am,  Lunga's younger brother noticed some flies coming from his room and there was also an unpleasant smell," said Msebele.

The family members then opened the door to find his brother's decomposing body hanging from the roof trusses.

"The body was searched and nothing was found, however a suicide note was placed on the table," said Msebele.

She stated that the body of the deceased was taken to United Bulawayo Hospitals for post-mortem.

Msebele urged members of the public to seek third party intervention whenever they face problems rather than to resort to taking their own lives.
