BULAWAYO-BASED artiste T3rry Tempo is set to release an extended play (EP) album, Family and Fangs, a deeply personal and introspective eight-track body of work that chronicles his transformative journey of self-growth and self-improvement.
Speaking to NewsDay Life & Style, T3rry Tempo, born Terence Sibanda, described his upcoming EP which is scheduled to be released in June, as a testament to self-reflection and self-growth.
“The message is simply to encourage listeners to reflect on their growth and improvement. There are many issues that we encounter in this life that can lead to breakdowns and depressions,” he said.
“I am currently working on the visual phase for all the songs so they come out at the same time. I have been shooting for the past few days. I am also working on putting out the collaborations I made when I moved to Harare last year.”
T3rry Tempo reflected on his collaboration with various international artistes on his previous EP, Moments, highlighting that art is a space where one can express themselves fully without having to hide who they are.
“From experience working with international artistes, I got to learn that art is a space whereby you can express yourself fully without having to hide any of your insecurities,” he said.
"As you grow as an artiste, you get to learn that people come in different packages and being yourself is one thing that you can do for yourself."
