SOUTH AFRICA-BORN America- based comedian Trevor Noah will be hosting this year's Grammy Awards for the fifth consecutive time, sparking mixed feelings among fans.

Many believe that he is “sticking to the tender” in the true fashion of South Africans who are like dogs with bones when it comes to presenting and acting gigs.

On a comic note, some said Trevor Noah was a man that Will Smith  cannot slap.

Of course, black doesn't crack, but you don't mess with a pure African!

South African actors and presenters are known for holding on to their jobs like dear life with some going decades in the same job.

On X , Menzi, (@MrMenziN) said , "Holding tight to this tender like a true South African,"

Sindi Dlathu who had the role of Thandaza on Duma Ndlovu's SABC 2 soapie, Muvhango, lasted years on end with many wondering if she would ever leave, which she did after many years.

The likes of Andile Gaelisiswe has presented the SABC 1 hit show, Khumbulekhaya for over a decade.

Carol Manana also spent years in her sports presenting spot on SABC 1.The same can be said for Leanne Mannas on the SABC 2 morning news show Morning Live and Desmond and Lillian Dube on Clientele Life and Funeral  television adverts.

Many fans raised concern about the reputation of the Grammy's and worry that the lack of diversity of hosts might make it a tad bit boring.

Others, however, cheer Noah for keeping the South African spirit  in him despite being abroad with one user saying you can take the South African out of South Africa but can't take South Africa out of him.

Scelo Lolo Masondo on Facebook said, " Took lessons from Desmond Dube,"

Soso Xiba said, " Like Kagiso Lediga and Savanna Dry ads"

Good enough Cele said " He reminds me of Thapelo, the Hunter's Dry guy,"

The 67th Grammy Awards are set to be held on Sunday February 2 at 2pm at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
