THE City of Bulawayo is set to experience a spiritual awakening as gospel music heavyweight Snowy teams up with South Africa’s Dumi Mkokstad for the highly-anticipated Sizomkhonza concert at Harvest House International Church.

Slated for February 22, this event will be a special night of inspiring music and uplifting messages, featuring two great gospel singers.

Speaking to NewsDay Life & Style, Siphosenkosi Ncube, known by his stage name Snowy, said Sizomkhonza, the theme of the concert, is a testament of the Lord’s work and the gig is a token of appreciation to God.

“We are simply saying now that we are coming from 2024, for some,it was a good year and for others, a bad one, but above all, we want to thank the Lord,” Ncube said.

“Otherwise we wouldn’t be here. We are not asking for anything more but just to fellowship and praise the Lord.”

Snowy expressed excitement about performing alongside Mkokstad, saying it is a great encouragement for him to do better.

“I am actually excited to be performing alongside Dumi after the comments he made about me during the Spirit Of Praise Tour in Bulawayo last year,” he said.

“It shows whatever I am doing is something that people can relate and put value to.

“There are days when I feel like I am wasting my time, energy and feeling low. Those comments (such as by Dumi) keep me going. They act as a fuel to encourage me.”

Snowy said fans should expect the turning around of lives at the concert.

“People’s lives will be turned around and I pray that we have testimonies.”

Snowy is the Skyz Metro FM Award winner for Best Newcomer in 2019.

He also boasts numerous Bulawayo Arts Awards nominations.

In his career, he has shared the stage with South Africa’s MTN Joyous Celebration as well as Spirit of Praise.

Last year, he launched his album Psalms of Praise, which he says has been received well by the fans.
