TWELVE teams including celebrity outfits will on Sunday battle it out for honours in an extraordinary football tournament sponsored by Pacific Cigarette Company.
Teams comprising talented musicians and community social clubs drawn from provinces across the country will compete in the one-day tournament dubbed Football Showdown.
Apart from the skills to be exhibited on the field of play, fans will be treated to electrifying performances by renowned DJs from Chillspot Records.
Social soccer tournaments involving musicians have become a popular trend in Harare, providing a platform for artistes to connect with their fans in a relaxed setting.
Winky D’s Vigilance FC, Zim Musicians FC, Gallis FC and King Shady’s Makorokoza will be among the participating clubs.
Organisers are promising a fun-filled day with a mix of football, music, delicious food and refreshing drinks.
Entry is free of charge.
