Econet Insurance, Zimbabwe's leading short-term insurance company has, through its Moovah brand, partnered with Road Angels, the country’s premier vehicle emergency services provider, in a strategic move aimed at enhancing road safety and providing convenience for motorists across the country.

Speaking at the unveiling of the partnership in Harare, Econet Insurance Chief Insurance Officer, Gift Noko lauded the collaboration, saying it will offer motorists both value for money and and great convenience.

“This collaboration will offer our customers unparalleled vehicle emergency services at significantly discounted rates, reinforcing our commitment to providing comprehensive support for drivers across the nation,” Noko said.

He said the partnership offers four main packages: Basic, Supreme, Unlimited, and the Bus and Truck Rescue package.

“These will be available at exclusive, highly discounted prices for Moovah customers, from as low as just $15 per year per vehicle. They will cover a variety of essential services including battery jump starts, towing, flat tyre fix and changes, spare key pickup, vehicle valuation, complimentary mechanical reports and the provision of a comprehensive support system,” he said.

He added that the roadside assistance services will be offered to individuals as well as those operators of larger vehicle fleets, such as buses and trucks.

“Customers with comprehensive motor insurance coverage will gain access to a range of Road Angels' vehicle emergency help packages, designed to offer peace of mind and swift support in times of need”, said Noko.

The roadside assistance, he added, can be accessed from the nearest town with a Road Angels centre, and these include Harare, Bulawayo, Gweru, Mutare, Masvingo, Beitbridge, Rusape, Zvishavane, and Hwange.

The partnership between Moovah and Road Angels comes at a time when road safety remains a critical concern in Zimbabwe.

According to the Traffic Safety Council of Zimbabwe, the country has seen an increase in road traffic accidents in recent years, highlighting the need for reliable roadside assistance services.

The collaboration between Econet Insurance and Road Angels will addresses these concerns and also offer an added layer of security for Moovah’s customers, allowing them to travel with the comfort of knowing that help is just a phone call away. It also reinforces Moovah’s reputation as a customer-centric insurer.
