From analogue to digital, is the time we are living in; most businesses are going digital and high-tech.

Even in security, there are innovative firms which are providing cutting edge services which combine top-notch security beefed up by technological advancements.

One such entity is a local company – Lightguard security that is offering various services to many sectors of the economy.

President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s Government has been encouraging businesses to go digital and embrace technological developments in line with Vision 2030 of achieving an Upper Middle-Class economy.

Technology plays an important role in an improved economy, and this is why Lightguard has the latest technology in the security sector such as CCTV, access controls, gate motors, alarms and electric fence.

Lightguard’s Sales and Marketing Officer Mr Lucky Nyamhosva said their competitive edge on the market was that they were providing quality services to residential sites, farms, schools, churches, logistics, cleaning, health care, mining, and construction companies.

“We are combining security and technology to ensure we meet our clients’ needs. Some of the things we offer are radio communication, guard monitoring systems, and panic buttons,” he said.

Mr Nyamhosva added that Lightguard was running a promotion through discounts for those who will sign up for services through their website

“This is also a part of encouraging individuals and businesses to use technology since we are living in a digital world,” he said.

Mr Nyamhosva said Lightguard has been doing events where they provide crowd control services, security management and car park marshals.

Some of the notable events, he added, Lightguard has done include Redefined concerts, Girl Fest, Jacaranda Festivals, ICASA and church conferences.

The company also does sport and national events where they provide security.
