ZITF vital for economic revival

Previously regarded as the undisputed regional industrial and business indaba for captains of industry, the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) has sadly lost its lustre and now symbolises exactly what is wrong with our country and, in particular, the politics, society and economy.

And yet, ZITF should be the vital cog upon which economic revival should be hinged on, going forward.

Not so long ago, Bulawayo was the country’s industrial hub and we do not believe that those that made the decision to establish ZITF in the country’s second largest city did so in error.
