Zimra to make staff taste prison
NewsDay Staff ·

Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (Zimra) Commissioner-General Gershem Pasi says the organisation may soon start to send current staff and new recruits for two-day familiarisation visits at prisons to get them to appreciate consequences of corruption.
The Zimra boss told Parliament yesterday exposing Zimra employees to conditions in prisons was an effective way of curbing graft.
He was responding to questions by members of the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Budget, Finance and Investment Promotion chaired by Goromonzi North MP Paddy Zhanda, who wanted Pasi to to explain the high incidence of corruption at Zimra.
