Zimbabwe is set to host the third edition of Africa Skills Week (ASW) from October 12 to 16 with hundreds of delegates from across the continent expected to converge in Harare for discussions on skills development, industrial competitiveness and employment creation.

The continental event will take place at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC), bringing together policymakers, educational and training institutions, industry players, innovators and development partners to explore ways of aligning skills development with Africa’s economic needs.

Skills Audit and Development minister Jenfan Muswere said the country was ready to host the gathering, which will be held under the theme: “Skills for Resilient and Competitive African Industries: From Training to Value Creation.”
