Zimbabwe on track to host permanent IATF company headquarters

ZIMBABWE is making progress towards hosting the permanent headquarters of the Intra-African Trade Fair Company (IATFCO), Afreximbank has said, as the government plans to use the 2027 edition of the fair in Lagos, Nigeria, to showcase the country’s investment opportunities.

Speaking to journalists after a courtesy call on Foreign Affairs and International Trade minister Amon Murwira at the Munhumutapa Offices on Tuesday evening, Afreximbank director of Trade Facilitation and Investment Promotion Gainmore Zanamwe said the bank was satisfied with the government’s preparations.

“We are really pleased that the government is looking at putting in place more than 90 000 square metres of exhibition space, which befits the status of the headquarters of the Intra-African Trade Fair Company,” Zanamwe said.
