ZIMBABWE’S annual inflation surged to 54,49% in October, showing that prices were rising faster, Zimbabwe National Statistics Agency (Zimstat) data showed yesterday.
The rise represented nearly a three-percentage point move from 51,55% in September, and 50,24% the previous month.
But this resurgence has also caught the eye of authorities, who have indicated that after managing the inflation rate from over 830% in July last year to 50% in August, the wheels seem to have come off the rails again.
