Zifa re-affirm Super Cup trip

Zifa has re-affirmed the Under-19 Young Warriors trip to South Africa for the Metropolitan Super Cup, which had raised eye-brows in some sections of the football fraternity, with fears it could be a bogus competition.

The soccer mother body’s acting president Kenny Marange yesterday confirmed the trip is on, despite it being a club tournament. Marange said it was the Council for Southern African Football Association (Cosafa)’s idea for the competition to involve clubs with few nations invited.
