Zifa near Munetsi deal

ZIFA have refused to give up on the duo of Marshall Munetsi and Tino Kadewere for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifiers against Botswana and Zambia with the association continuously pushing French clubs Stade Reims and Lyon to release the two stars for national duty.

By last night, Zifa officials said they were close to securing the release of Munetsi, adding that the player was likely to travel to Harare tomorrow.

France’s Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) on Wednesday announced a ban on foreign players from travelling on international duty outside of Europe
