ZEC prepares for Chiredzi Ward 19 By-Election

The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) has stepped up preparations for the Chiredzi Ward 19 by-election after conducting a training session for officials and stakeholders ahead of the nomination court process.

Permanent secretary in the ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Nick Mangwana, said the exercise was intended to ensure that the nomination process was conducted smoothly and transparently.

“ZEC has conducted training for its officials, council staff and stakeholders ahead of the Ward 19 nomination court, focusing on nomination procedures, verification of documents and the proper conduct of proceedings,” he said.
