ZCTU boss cheats death

GWERU — Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Unions (ZCTU) president George Nkiwane was involved in a car accident about 5km outside Gweru on Monday evening.

Nkiwane told NewsDay he escaped unscathed although his Nissan Hardbody truck’s roof and windscreen were shattered after it veered off the road and rolled once.

He accused the driver of a car driving in the opposite direction of failing to dip his vehicle lights, forcing him to veer off the road.
