You are offside: War vets, Zanu PF tell Mahiya

A STORM is brewing after the Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association (ZNLWVA) members accused the Zanu PF national secretary for war veterans Douglas Mahiya for allegedly distorting the relationship between the association and the ruling party’s war veterans’ league.

ZNLWVA accuses Mahiya of misrepresenting to provincial structures that the association is subordinate to the league.

The war veterans also accuses Mahiya of distorting the situation by claiming that the association should report to the league and cannot call for meetings without the consent of the league’s provincial chairpersons.
