Women representation still low
NewsDay Staff ·

A WOMEN’S rights group has bemoaned the low representation of women in key decision-making positions and business disputes, despite being the majority in the country.
Women’s Academy for Leadership and Political Excellence (Walpe) deputy director, Jessy Chihota, said they were doing a number of interventions, including holding capacity-building training workshops to ensure more women are catapulted to leadership positions.
“Women make up the majority of Zimbabwe’s population, yet when it comes to leadership positions, women are severely underrepresented,” Chihota said.
