Warriors’ bumpy start

AS has become the norm, the Warriors African Nations Championships (Chan) preparations got off to a poor start with the team being forced to train on a rugby pitch at Innovate High Performance centre in Harare yesterday.

The Warriors who had a gym session in the morning at Innovate High Performance Centre on their first day of training were scheduled to have a proper training session at the National Sports Stadium B Arena but ended up training at the rugby pitch after Zifa reportedly failed to raise money to secure the venue.

Warriors coach Kalisto Pasuwa refused to answer questions pertaining to the condition of the pitch but an informed source said yesterday Zifa had failed to raise money to secure the National Sports Stadium B Arena.
